Job Summary
Fathers & Families Support Center Position Title: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Reports To: CEO
Direct Reports: Finance Manager, Accountants
Job Status: Full-Time / Exempt
Duties, Functions and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with CEO to develop reports to present the financial status of the organization to the BOD
- Prepare monthly financial statements and present to the board treasurer for presentation to the full BOD
- Collect and prepare payroll information
- Manage and maintain systems for reporting accounts payable and receivables
- Manage and maintain systems for payments for contractual agreements
- Manage and maintain systems for financial records from year to year
- Manage and maintain a system for monitoring staff benefits, i.e., vacation accrual, health related benefits, child support payments and other related issues
- Work with development team to prepare budgets for grant submission
- Perform trend analyses on budget to determine how to allocate grant dollars
- Prepare an annual budget for presentation to the finance committee
- Prepare a monthly bank reconciliation report for the CEO
- Maintain financial records for each contract and grant compliance
- Serve as staff liaison to the finance committee of the board of directors
- Prepare a forecasting system to demonstrate the financial status of the organization
- Maintains financial files in preparation for the annual audit
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Must be knowledgeable of and proficient GAAP
- Must be proficient with all financial software utilized by the organization
- Must understand and practice the NASW code of ethics
- Must be able to utilize agency and community resources to meet goals
- Must be team oriented and able to work independently
- Must be familiar with Microsoft Office Suite
Educational and Experience Requirements
- Must have a bachelor’s degree in accounting, CPA preferred
- Must have 3 to 5 years’ experience in accounting with at least one as a fiscal manager in a not-for-profit organization
- Must possess a valid Missouri driver’s license and have a reliable, insured vehicle

Pay Range
$90,000 - $110,000 per year
