Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Description
Community Options, Inc., a leading national nonprofit supporting individuals with disabilities, is seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer to join the executive leadership team. Reporting to the President & CEO, the CFO provides overall financial leadership for the organization overseeing a $500M+ budget, forecasting, audits, compliance, payroll, billing, property management, and financial systems. This role serves as a key advisor to executive leadership and the Board of Trustees, supporting long-term growth, sustainability, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
- Oversee financial reporting, audits, tax filings, and regulatory compliance
- Ensure effective revenue cycle management and government billing compliance
- Manage banking relationships, financing, contracts, and property-related matters
- Support organizational growth, acquisitions, and strategic initiatives
- Train and support leadership on financial processes and compliance
- Demonstrate knowledge of and openness to emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, to enhance financial analysis, operational efficiency, and data-informed decision-making
Qualifications
- Master's degree in finance, accounting, or related field
- CPA preferred
- Strong expertise in financial planning, compliance, and leadership
