Key Responsibilities
- Lead financial planning, budgeting (short- and long-range), and execution
- Oversee daily business office operations including accounting, payroll, purchasing, and compliance
- Manage and invest operational, restricted, and endowed funds
- Direct risk management and insurance programs
- Supervise financial functions for auxiliary enterprises and contracted services
- Cook with external auditors and prepare/file required federal and state financial reports
- Serve as Staff Officer for Board committees (Audit, Budget & Finance, Investment) and member of Executive Policy Board
- Provide financial reports and presentations to leadership
- Oversee contracts administration process
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business (advanced study preferred) with strong knowledge of GAAP. CPA strongly desired.
- Experience: Strong financial management background, preferably in a nonprofit environment; Proven success in budget planning and execution
- Skills: Excellent interpersonal, management, and computer systems skills; Well-organized, detail-oriented self-starter; Strong verbal and written communication skills; Ability to handle sensitive information and work well under pressure; Excellent multi-tasking and organizational skills; Strong teamwork and interpersonal abilities
