About the role

The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership, champion cultural ambition and help deliver an inspiring, relevant and financially sustainable programme, while nurturing a positive organisational culture and strengthening WTM's civic and cultural impact.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a long-term strategic vision for the organisation
  • Lead the development and delivery of a diverse and high-quality programme of events and activities
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including funders, partners, and the wider community
  • Ensure financial sustainability through effective management of resources and fundraising
  • Champion diversity, inclusion, and accessibility in all aspects of the organisation
  • Lead and develop a committed and motivated team
  • Represent the organisation externally and engage with the public and media

Requirements

  • Proven track record in senior leadership roles within the arts or cultural sector
  • Experience in managing budgets and securing funding
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and build strong relationships
  • Knowledge of the local and national cultural landscape
  • Experience in developing and delivering a wide range of cultural programmes

Qualifications

  • Postgraduate degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
  • Chartered Arts Administrator qualification or equivalent
