Chief Executive Officer Tucson Medical Center
Essential Functions
Supports and interfaces with the Tucson Medical Center Board of Directors, informing and advising Directors on current health care trends, issues, and activities to support effective policy making.
Oversees Tucson Medical Center’s Executive Team and all operations through direct reports.
Responsible for quality, safety, workforce, and patient experience outcomes.
Develops, monitors, and ensures achievement of short- and long-range goals.
Ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements governing health care delivery at Tucson Medical Center.
Participates in external community programs and activities to build goodwill and strengthen community understanding of Tucson Medical Center and its services.
Fosters leadership development and succession planning.
Oversees the development and management of the Tucson Medical Center budget, ensuring the organization operates within approved budget parameters.
Oversees facility improvement planning for Tucson Medical Center within the parameters of strategic plans and approved budget funding.
Establishes market positioning by developing and promoting strategies that strengthen Tucson Medical Center’s role as a premier regional medical center.
Collaborates with TMC Health leaders, service line leaders, and medical staff to advance quality and support the development of TMC Health initiatives.
Maintains appropriate alignment with key TMC Health system-wide initiatives and collaborates with colleagues to support the growth of TMC Health in the region.
Minimum Qualifications
- EDUCATION: Master’s degree preferably an MHA or MBA.
- EXPERIENCE: Ten (10) years of executive management operations experience in a hospital setting.
- LICENSURE OR CERTIFICATION: None required.
