Chief Estimator | High-Rise Construction

About the role

We are hiring a proven Chief Estimator to manage the construction of multimillion-dollar high-rise and large-scale commercial projects in Tampa for a leading national general contractor. This role supports the team in executing landmark multimillion-dollar builds.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of conceptual, schematic, design development, and GMP estimates.
• Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and pricing analyses.
• Collaborate with Project Executives, Project Managers, and Operations leadership during project pursuits.
• Support business development efforts by providing market intelligence and conceptual pricing.
• Build relationships with subcontractors and suppliers throughout Florida and the Southeast.

Requirements

• Proven experience in estimating, leading multimillion-dollar bids ranging from $50-100M+ for a general contractor.
• Experience working with subcontractor networks across Florida; strong understanding of regional cost trends.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field.
• Proficiency with estimating software such as OST, Bluebeam, Sage Estimating, HCSS, BuildingConnected, or similar platforms.
