Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science or higher degree in Engineering or related field from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education
- Experience with complex missile or launch vehicle systems with demonstrated expertise in systems integration, engineering, and/or test of complex systems
- Experience with electrical design and avionics architecture development
- Prominent team leadership experience in systems design and development
- Demonstrated ability to drive closure and resolve technical issues/challenges; demonstrated agility in decision making
- Experience with Model Based Engineering and Agile tools and methods
- Excellent communication skills, with experience in engaging and influencing executive leadership and external customers
- Current Secret security clearance required, with the ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret clearance
Job Description
The FBM Program is experiencing significant growth and we need your expertise to deliver amazing new technologies to our customers while maintaining the technical requirements of the strategic deterrence. The successful individual focuses on new development scope, and integration of enterprise resources (E&T analysis, technical baselines, Center of Excellence resources, Digital Transformation), to ensure development success. They support the FBM Chief Engineer’s office to ensure overall technical rigor and adherence to engineering standards and processes to support the needs of the LE2 program. They engage in architecture definition and trades and serve as chair of the Engineering Review Board. They provide technical inputs to the FBM Chief Engineer’s Office for overall architecture and system performance including technical performance measurements and risk assessments. They lead the definition of technology development roadmaps and insertion including Model Based Engineering transformation. They ensure selected designs are robust and include appropriate margins to facilitate safety, performance, producibility and operational availability/supportability. They lead special assignment projects to address and drive closure on key program technical concerns. They ensure identification of lessons-learned and corrective action are initiated and implemented to improve future and ongoing programs.

Desired Skills
- Masters degree in Science or Engineering preferred
- Experience as a conceptual thinker with ability to proactively translate into action and results
- Experience in strategic nuclear missile systems
- Experience in key technologies or applicable skills: Aerodynamics; Thermal; Materials; Propulsion; Navigation, Guidance, and Control; Flight Computers; Communications; Power
- Demonstrated customer orientation by learning and understanding customers’ missions, needs, and perspectives
- Experience in working with the U.S. Navy Strategic Systems Program Office
- Experience in a development and test environment
