Chief, Division of Genomic Diagnostics at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP)

About the role

The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for an Associate or Full Professor position in the non-tenure clinician educator track.

Responsibilities

• Teaching responsibilities may include teaching fellows, residents, medical and graduate students, and staff in a variety of settings.
• Clinical responsibilities may include the development and implementation of tools for diagnostic and translational medicine, establishing and improving standards and methods for the interpretation of multi-omic data, assessing risk factors, and appropriate quantitative interpretation of data in clinical lab settings.
• Research or scholarship responsibilities may include work in the broad area of genomic diagnostics.

Requirements

• Applicants must have an M.D. and/or Ph.D degree.
• Molecular Genetic Pathology certification following Pathology residency, or American Board of Medical Genetics certification in Laboratory Genetics and Genomics, is required.
• Physicians must be eligible/licensed in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
