About the role

The Boys & Girls Club of the Northern Plains seeks a visionary leader to join its executive team as the Chief Development Officer. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in fundraising and grant management, and a passion for inspiring and enabling young people.

Responsibilities

  • Develop innovative fundraising strategies, from major gifts to capital campaigns.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with donors, corporations, and foundations.
  • Lead grant management efforts to secure vital resources.
  • Guide the Resource Development team and act as a visionary for future fundraising initiatives.
  • Drive strategies for major gifts, annual campaigns, and grant writing.
  • Identify and pursue grant opportunities while ensuring compliance with reporting requirements.
  • Report progress to the CEO and Board, manage donor records, and ensure reconciliation with the Finance Department.
  • Lead and inspire a team of development and grant professionals.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • Proven success in fundraising, including major gifts, annual campaigns, and grant writing.
  • Stellar communication and relationship-building skills with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership abilities and experience managing a high-performing team.
  • A passion for our mission and a commitment to driving positive change.
  • A desire to travel and engage with our communities frequently.
