About the role
The Chief Bridge Engineer oversees the design, construction, and maintenance of all bridge projects within the company. This role requires a deep understanding of structural engineering principles and extensive experience in bridge engineering.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the entire bridge project lifecycle from conceptual design to completion.
- Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and construction teams to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Lead the team in the development and implementation of innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges.
- Conduct regular inspections and assessments to ensure the integrity and safety of bridges under their supervision.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including government agencies, contractors, and community leaders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in bridge engineering.
- Experience leading large-scale bridge projects.
- Knowledge of relevant codes and standards for bridge construction.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with bridge design software such as AutoCAD or similar tools.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to travel as needed for project site visits.
