About the Role

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the College of Medicine at the University of Florida, Gainesville, Florida seeks candidates for the position of Chief, Division of Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor. This role offers an option of non-tenure clinical or tenure track faculty. The Division Chief will oversee supervision and management of REI faculty and staff, clinical operations (IVF and non-IVF), educational activities for learners at all levels, and research initiatives (both translational and clinical).

The Division of Reproductive Endocrinology at the University of Florida is the only academic REI practice serving a large geographic area extending from Central Florida across state lines. The division provides comprehensive care, including reproductive disorder management, in vitro fertilization, ultrasound, diagnostic and operative hysteroscopy, fertility preservation, and reproductive surgery. The division has experienced significant growth and offers opportunities for clinical or research collaboration with UF Health Jacksonville and Pensacola.

The UF Health Reproductive Medicine Clinic is a state-of-the-art IVF and clinical facility with over 5,000 sq ft of space, including CAP-certified andrology and embryology laboratories. Male infertility services are provided in collaboration with a fellowship-trained specialist from the UF Department of Urology. The University of Florida has a strong history of leadership in reproductive biology and immunology research, with opportunities for protected research time and collaboration with the university’s Artificial Intelligence Initiative.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and oversight for the division’s activities in patient care, teaching, research, and committee work.
  • Supervise and manage REI faculty, staff, and clinical operations, including IVF and non-IVF practices.
  • Oversee educational activities for medical students, residents, and fellows in reproductive medicine and assisted reproductive procedures.
  • Deliver lectures and participate in Department Grand Rounds, Division meetings, and other departmental activities.
  • Mentor medical students and residents in research and career development.
  • Engage in translational and clinical research initiatives, with opportunities for collaboration and protected research time.
  • Supervise students, residents, nurses, and mid-level providers in clinical practice.

Requirements

  • Completion of a 4-year ACGME-accredited obstetrics and gynecology residency program and an ACGME-accredited Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility Fellowship.
  • Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.
  • Licensure by the State of Florida Medical Board (required prior to commencement of employment).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior leadership experience in a Reproductive Endocrinology Division.
