Opportunity for a Chief anesthesiologist at a full‑service, short‑term acute care hospital in East Stroudsburg, PA. The 217‑bed Lehigh Valley Hospital‑Pocono (formerly Pocono Medical Center) is a voluntary nonprofit and member of the Lehigh Valley Health Network. It was the first community hospital in Pennsylvania to receive full accreditation from the Association for the Accreditation of Human Research Protection Programs (AAHRPP). Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive anesthesia care across surgical procedures
• Perform pre‑anesthesia evaluations and obtain informed consent
• Develop and discuss anesthetic plans with patients
• Manage induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
• Monitor the patient's physiological condition and perform interventions as needed
• Support departmental coordination and clinical leadership

Requirements

• MD or DO from an accredited institution
• Completion of an Anesthesiology residency
• Board Eligible or Board Certified
• Current medical licensure
• ECMG/FLEX (if applicable)

Pay

• Salary: $525K annually
• Chief stipend: $45K
• Sign‑on bonus: $100K

Schedule

Case assignments include endoscopy, general surgery, orthopedics, and more; low call utilization.
