Position Summary
The Assistant Manager serves as a key member of the leadership team and acts as a coach, teacher, and operational leader. This individual helps execute daily operations, develops future leaders, ensures exceptional guest experiences, and maintains Chick-fil-A's high standards of food quality, cleanliness, speed, and hospitality.
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead shifts with confidence and professionalism.
- Coach team members through real-time feedback and development.
- Train and onboard new employees using Chick-fil-A standards.
- Identify and develop future leaders within the organization.
- Foster a positive, encouraging, and accountability-driven culture.
- Hold team members accountable while maintaining respect and care.
- Support leadership succession planning and talent development.
Operational Excellence
- Execute Chick-fil-A operational systems and procedures.
- Ensure food safety and quality standards are consistently met.
- Drive speed of service without sacrificing hospitality.
- Maintain exceptional cleanliness and organization throughout the restaurant.
- Monitor labor efficiency and productivity goals.
- Aid with inventory management, ordering, and waste reduction.
- Ensure compliance with airport operational requirements and security standards.
Guest Experience
- Create "Second Mile Service" moments that exceed guest expectations.
- Resolve guest concerns professionally and proactively.
- Model world-class hospitality for the entire team.
- Build a culture where every guest feels valued and appreciated.
Business Performance
- Support sales growth initiatives.
- Assist with labor management and scheduling.
- Analyze operational opportunities and implement solutions.
- Help achieve profitability goals while maintaining service excellence.
- Participate in leadership meetings and strategic planning discussions.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of restaurant leadership experience.
- Previous experience as a Shift Leader, Supervisor, Assistant Manager, or equivalent role.
- Strong understanding of restaurant operations.
- Ability to lead teams in a high-volume environment.
- Demonstrated coaching and training experience.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work flexible schedules including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to obtain required airport credentials and security clearances.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous Chick-fil-A experience.
- Experience in Quick Service Restaurants (QSR).
- Experience in high-volume or airport operations.
- Food Safety Certification.
- Proven record of developing leaders and improving team performance.
Pay Range
$48,000 - $52,000 per year
