About the role

We're looking for a thoughtful, product-minded engineer to join our small, fully remote team. You'll work across the stack to build and improve the Syft platform, collaborating closely with the founders and customers to shape both product and engineering culture.

Responsibilities

• Build new features end-to-end across the stack (TypeScript, React, Node.js, PostgreSQL)
• Improve developer tooling, testing, and deployment pipelines
• Work directly with customers to understand pain points and iterate on solutions
• Participate in architectural decisions and help define engineering standards
• Maintain and improve performance, reliability, and security of the platform

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong proficiency with TypeScript, React, and Node.js
• Experience designing and building RESTful APIs and working with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred)
• Comfortable working in a remote-first, asynchronous communication environment
• Self-directed and able to take ownership of projects from ideation to deployment

Qualifications

• Experience in early-stage startups or small engineering teams
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (ECS/Kubernetes)
• Understanding of CI/CD best practices
• Interest in data modeling and complex business logic

Pay

$160,000 – $190,000 USD per year, depending on experience and location.

Schedule

Full-time, remote with flexible working hours; core collaboration hours are 10am–2pm ET.
