About the role

As a Home Health Aide (HHA) in BAYADA’s ACSP Division, you will reliably serve patients in Camden, Burlington, Gloucester, Cumberland, and Salem counties. Following a written plan of care by a registered nurse, you’ll provide personal care services, household support, and companion care to help adults stay safe and independent at home.

Training is available, including assistance with the application to become a Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) with the New Jersey Consumer Affairs Board of Nursing. Classes are priced at a low $250 (all-inclusive).

Day, evening, and weekend shifts are available. Interviews are available now, and we welcome Spanish-speaking candidates.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living: bathing, grooming, toileting, nail care, etc.
• Provide household support: light housekeeping, laundry, bed making, etc.
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding
• Support range of motion exercises
• Assist with ambulation, transfers, and use of mechanical lifting devices
• Provide medication reminders
• Perform vital sign checks: temperature, pulse, respiration
• Assist with home management tasks: laundry, meal preparation, bed making

Requirements

• Previous home health care or patient care experience is welcomed but not required (training provided)
• A passion for caregiving and a desire to help others
• Empathy, patience, kindness, and respect
• Ability to travel to clients’ homes as assigned
• Commitment to delivering patient care with compassion, excellence, and reliability

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of work experience
• Current HHA license listed in good standing with the board (or willingness to obtain certification)
