Chess Teacher (Part Time, In-Person)

General Responsibilities

• Mets regularly with the Director of Educational Development
• Plans and facilitates instructional sessions
• Develops a curriculum covering movement, strategy, and gameplay
• Applies skills and knowledge from the course to prepare for a chess competition
• Models appropriate academic and social behaviors
• Performs other duties as assigned

• Possesses good interpersonal and organizational skills
• Demonstrates responsibility, a desire to help others, discretion, and flexibility
• Knowledge of basic academic content and skills
• Ability to apply knowledge and tools to help students access material

• Ability to work independently using critical thinking and problem-solving skills
