About the Role
Under the supervision of the Medical Director, the Mixing Technician will prepare, compound, and dispense medical prescriptions. The role may include performing clerical duties related to the department, receiving and storing incoming supplies, verifying stock, and maintaining inventory records. The technician will also maintain a sterile compounding area according to standards and LSBME regulations. Occasional assistance at other sites may be required.
Responsibilities
- Prepare prescription orders accurately and efficiently, verifying prescription information and dosage.
- Provide quality customer service to patients and other healthcare providers.
- Maintain inventory and ensure a safe and clean dispensary.
- Maintain records by recording and filing physician’s orders and prescriptions.
- Contribute to a team effort by accomplishing goals, seeking opportunities for development, and promoting a positive environment.
Requirements
- Certified Technician Certification program completion.
- Licensed by the Louisiana Board of Pharmacy.
- Clinic Pharmacy experience required.
- QS1 pharmacy management experience required.
