About the role
Under direct supervision, level one Chemline Operators perform a variety of support functions for the chemline processing department, including racking, un-racking, and cleaning of production aerospace parts. Operators ensure all traces of organic soils, fingerprints, dirt, and dust are removed using solvent cleaners while maintaining a clean and organized work area and adhering to organizational safety rules and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Obtain job assignments from supervisor or manager.
- Work safely in accordance with plant safety guidelines, including cardinal rules of safety.
- Correctly interpret work orders, Technique Cards, and paperwork.
- Monitor milling operations; calculate etch rate and modified bath times accordingly.
- Complete logs and records, including measurements, calculations, chemical additions, and milling times.
- Meet all production and quality standards.
- Work in a team environment, following instructions and assisting others as needed.
- Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and orderly condition.
- Perform daily housekeeping / 6S activities as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Read and write English.
- Basic computer skills.
- High School Diploma or GED desired but not required.
- 0-1 years of experience required.
Work Environment
- Continuously required to move about the facility.
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
- Requires hand manipulation including simple grasping, pushing, and pulling of materials.
- Exposure to shop elements such as noise, dust, fumes, odors, and temperature variations.
- Must wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including eye and hearing protection, and safety shoes.
Schedule
2nd Shift: Monday through Thursday, 2:00 pm to 12:30 am.
