Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) as assigned.
• Develop and update course materials, including syllabi, lectures, assignments, and assessments.
• Advise and mentor undergraduate and graduate students, including serving on thesis and dissertation committees.
• Engage in scholarly research and publish results in peer-reviewed journals and conferences.
• Pursue external funding through grants and contracts to support research activities.
• Participate in departmental, college, and institute service activities, including committee work and outreach programs.
• Collaborate with industry partners, government agencies, and other academic institutions on research projects.
• Maintain professional development through participation in workshops, conferences, and other educational opportunities.

Requirements

• Earned Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field by the start date of employment.
• Demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
• Evidence of scholarly research and a strong publication record in a relevant field.
• Ability to secure external funding to support research activities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in higher education.

Preferred Qualifications

• Postdoctoral research experience or equivalent industry experience.
• Experience with securing and managing external research funding.
• Demonstrated ability to teach a variety of courses in electrical and computer engineering.
• Experience advising and mentoring graduate students.
• Record of interdisciplinary research collaborations.
