About the Role

What if your years of chemistry expertise could directly shape how AI reasons through the most complex scientific problems in the world? We're looking for Chemistry Specialists — Masters and PhD holders — to design, solve, and evaluate advanced chemistry problems that train cutting-edge AI models to think like domain experts.

This is a fully remote, flexible contract role built for serious chemists. Whether your background is in organic synthesis, inorganic systems, physical chemistry, or computational methods, your knowledge will have a direct and lasting impact on the future of AI in science.

What You'll Do

  • Design and develop advanced chemistry problems with real-world scientific relevance across organic, inorganic, physical, or computational chemistry
  • Solve and critically review complex problem sets to ensure scientific accuracy, rigor, and depth
  • Apply your domain expertise to challenge and improve AI model reasoning on graduate-level chemistry concepts
  • Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and fellow domain experts to refine outputs
  • Ensure all deliverables meet high standards of clarity, precision, and scientific integrity
  • Work independently on task-based assignments — fully on your own schedule

Who You Are

  • Master's or PhD in Chemistry or a closely related field
  • Deep expertise in one or more areas: organic, inorganic, physical, or computational chemistry
  • Comfortable writing clearly and precisely about complex scientific concepts
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to scientific accuracy and rigour
  • Experienced with Python or computational chemistry tools such as Gaussian, VASP, or similar software
  • Fully fluent in English

Nice to Have

  • Prior experience in data annotation, data quality assurance, or AI evaluation workflows
  • Background in research, scientific publishing, or academic instruction
  • Familiarity with AI or machine learning applications in chemistry
  • Experience designing curriculum, problem sets, or technical assessments

Why Join Us

  • Work on cutting-edge AI projects alongside the world's leading AI research labs
  • Fully remote and flexible — work when and where it suits you
  • Freelance autonomy with the structure of meaningful, task-based scientific work
  • Make a direct, tangible impact on how AI understands and applies advanced chemistry
  • Contribute to work that could shape scientific AI for researchers, educators, and institutions worldwide
  • Potential for ongoing work and contract extension as new projects launch
