About the role

What if your years of chemistry expertise could directly shape how AI reasons through the most complex scientific problems in the world? We're looking for Chemistry Specialists — Masters and PhD holders — to design, solve, and evaluate advanced chemistry problems that train cutting-edge AI models to think like domain experts. This is a fully remote, flexible contract role built for serious chemists.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop advanced chemistry problems with real-world scientific relevance across organic, inorganic, physical, or computational chemistry
  • Solve and critically review complex problem sets to ensure scientific accuracy, rigor, and depth
  • Apply your domain expertise to challenge and improve AI model reasoning on graduate-level chemistry concepts
  • Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and fellow domain experts to refine outputs
  • Ensure all deliverables meet high standards of clarity, precision, and scientific integrity
  • Work independently on task-based assignments — fully on your own schedule

Requirements

  • Master's or PhD in Chemistry or a closely related field
  • Deep expertise in one or more areas: organic, inorganic, physical, or computational chemistry
  • Comfortable writing clearly and precisely about complex scientific concepts
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to scientific accuracy and rigour
  • Experienced with Python or computational chemistry tools such as Gaussian, VASP, or similar software
  • Fluent in English

Qualifications

  • Nice to have: prior experience in data annotation, data quality assurance, or AI evaluation workflows, background in research, scientific publishing, or academic instruction, familiarity with AI or machine learning applications in chemistry, experience designing curriculum, problem sets, or technical assessments

Skills

  • Strong understanding of chemistry principles and theories
  • Proficiency in Python or other computational chemistry tools
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks

Benefits

  • Flexible remote work schedule
  • Opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking AI research
  • Autonomy and freelance flexibility
