About the Role
We are seeking chemistry specialists with expertise in organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry, physical chemistry, analytical chemistry, biochemistry, material science, chemical engineering, spectroscopy, chromatography, and thermodynamics. Your contributions will help train large-scale language models to improve scientific discovery and education.
Responsibilities
- Challenge advanced language models on topics like chemical reactions, reaction mechanisms, equilibrium, molecular dynamics, catalysis, synthetic chemistry, and computational chemistry.
- Document every failure mode encountered during model testing.
- Suggest improvements to prompt engineering and evaluation metrics.
- Converse with the model on lab scenarios and theoretical chemistry questions.
- Verify factual accuracy and logical soundness of model responses.
- Capture reproducible error traces for analysis.
Requirements
- A master’s or PhD in chemistry or a closely related field.
- Peer-reviewed publications, wet-lab or field research, or hands-on computational chemistry projects.
- Clear, metacognitive communication skills.
- Expertise in multiple areas of chemistry.
- Experience with large-scale language model training and evaluation.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Advanced knowledge of chemistry principles.
- Ability to communicate complex scientific concepts clearly.
- Experience with natural language processing and machine learning.
