About the role
Johnson College is seeking a part-time chemistry instructor for evening chemistry labs during the Fall 2026 semester.
Responsibilities
- Set up, instruct, and clean up the lab
- Create and grade pre-and-post lab assessments
- Grade lab work
- Closely supervise students and provide supplemental instruction, including the application of math skills in the laboratory setting
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Education with a focus on Chemistry or closely related fields (biochemistry, biology, physics, some engineering, environmental science)
- Demonstrated experience in chemical preparation and safe chemical practices
- Previous experience supervising chemistry labs preferred
