Responsibilities
- Deliver true, accurate results in a timely manner for analytical testing.
- Carry out routine analysis accurately while following documented methods.
- Maintains documentation of analytical results in ELN (Electronic Notebook) and/or the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
- Operate, manage & maintain laboratory instrumentation.
- Use technical knowledge and expertise in the application of specialized analytical instrumentation to support Nutritional testing for pre-mix, pre-blends, mixer studies, raw ingredients, developmental products, and finished product analysis.
- Specific instrumentation that will be used includes, but is not limited to, ICP, ICP MS, Leco Protein Analyzers, Fat Extractors, Auto Titrators, TGA, HPLC, GC, Mass Spec, Wet Chemistry tests.
- Perform sample preparation, clean-up, separation, and assay.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or natural or food sciences/pharmaceutical with emphasis in Analytical chemistry
- 2 + years' of experience with chemical and physical analyses in food or related industries (advanced education may partially substitute for required experience).
Skills
- Technical knowledge and expertise in the application of specialized analytical instrumentation
- Experience with ICP, ICP MS, Leco Protein Analyzers, Fat Extractors, Auto Titrators, TGA, HPLC, GC, Mass Spec, Wet Chemistry tests
