Chemist II - 176603

Piper Companies is seeking a Chemist II to join a growing pharmaceutical and consumer healthcare organization in Miami, FL. The Chemist II will support quality control operations through hands-on lab testing of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products in a cGMP-regulated environment. Responsibilities of the Chemist II: Perform routine quality control testing of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products using established methods. Conduct sample preparation, HPLC analysis, and testing utilizing instruments such as GC, UV, IR, dissolution, and disintegration equipment. Analyze and review lab data, maintain accurate documentation, and ensure compliance with cGMP requirements and SOPs. Support method validation activities, execute testing per USP/NF, EP, BP, and JP compendial methods, and assist with lab investigations. Participate in OOS investigations, issue Certificates of Analysis, and support training of new lab personnel as needed. Qualifications of the Chemist II: Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a related scientific discipline. 3+ years of quality control lab experience within a regulated environment. Strong hands-on HPLC experience and demonstrated analytical chemistry expertise. Experience working under GMP/cGMP regulations within pharmaceutical, OTC, medical device, or nutraceutical manufacturing environments. Proficiency operating lab instruments including HPLC, GC, UV, IR, analytical balances, and pH meters. Ability to independently perform bench testing, data review, and lab documentation Compensation for the Chemist II includes: Salary range: $65,000- $75,000 (depending on experience) Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401(k) Working hours 11AM-7:30PM Monday-Friday This job opens for applications on 10/16/2026.
