Job Title: Chemist Location: Darien, CT Work Model: Onsite Hours: M-F 8am-5pm Compensation: $40.00/hr Type: 8-month contract, Potential for extension or conversion to permanent ResponsibilitiesSuccessfully make hair color laboratory batches, conducting product stability, evaluate color performance, and record and report resultsAssist in the maintenance of laboratory raw materials, glassware, supplies, and wasteCommunicate formulation stability and efficacy results RequirementsBS/MS in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field plus 0-4 years of experiencePrior experience in Hair Color/Care or Consumer Products formulationAbility to lift bulk materials, fill consumer laboratory samples, and prepare hair tresses with application of consumer products and CGMP practices requiredStrong problem-solving skills and positive attitudeStrong communication and analytical skillsQuick learnerStrong data management (Excel etc.)Experience with lab equipment such as batching equipment, pH meters, viscometer, and interaction with raw material suppliers a plusExperience with Microsoft applications in a plus System One, and its subsidiaries including Joulé and Mountain Ltd., are leaders in delivering outsourced services and workforce solutions across North America.
