Responsibilities
- Prepare and oversee implementation of sampling and QA/QC elements for the Quality Assurance Project Plan
- Determine, in consultation with management, the appropriate type and quality of analyses to be performed to attain EPA’s data quality objectives.
- Operate a field laboratory for analysis of water samples, as necessary.
- Calibrate, maintain, and use field screening device/meters.
- Interpret data and evaluate field results.
- Keep a written log of activities on sampling and analytical results.
- Prepare written technical reports of sampling, survey, treatability, and analyses.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in chemistry or related field
- 3+ years of relevant experience
- Proficiency with field laboratory equipment, calibration, maintenance, and testing of water samples
- Proficiency in creating detailed reports related to water sampling, treatment, and analysis
- Excellent communications and client relations skills
- Ability to work as a team player
