Responsibilities

• Prepare and oversee implementation of sampling and QA/QC elements for the Quality Assurance Project Plan
• Determine, in consultation with management, the appropriate type and quality of analyses to be performed to attain EPA’s data quality objectives.
• Operate a field laboratory for analysis of water samples, as necessary.
• Calibrate, maintain, and use field screening device/meters.
• Interpret data and evaluate field results.
• Keep a written log of activities on sampling and analytical results.
• Prepare written technical reports of sampling, survey, treatability, and analyses.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in chemistry or related field
• 3+ years of relevant experience
• Proficiency with field laboratory equipment, calibration, maintenance, and testing of water samples
• Proficiency in creating detailed reports related to water sampling, treatment, and analysis
• Excellent communications and client relations skills
• Ability to work as a team player
