About the role

This position is responsible for performing physical and chemical testing in support of the site Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) program. The lab operates 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. This is a third shift role, Monday through Friday from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical and chemical testing of raw material, packaging material, in-process, and finished product in accordance with standard procedures.
• Approve materials and products based on test results.
• Participate in investigations to identify root cause and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Apply appropriate methodologies and data interpretation techniques to assist in overcoming difficulties and promote continuous improvement.
• Maintain the laboratory quality assurance systems to assure validity of data and troubleshoot basic instrument problems.
• Perform or assist vendors in the installation qualification (IQ), operational qualification (OQ), and performance qualification (PQ) of laboratory instruments and equipment.
• Conduct lab verification of instruments.
• Use laboratory safety equipment and understand precautions in handling reagents and disposal of chemical waste according to local environmental regulations.
• Develop in-depth knowledge of how to operate analytical instruments and other standard laboratory equipment relevant to job responsibilities.
• Understand and accurately follow written lab procedures, global methods, local methods, and published standard sources.
• Develop in-depth knowledge of how to calibrate and maintain analytical instruments and the use of analytical reference standards.
• Prepare positive release documentation including analytical lab reports and certificates of analysis.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related technical field.
• A minimum of 0 - 2 years experience in an Analytical lab, or pharmaceutical, medical device, cosmetic, or consumer products industries.
• Proven proficiency in laboratory skills with training in chemistry.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Willing to work third shift Monday through Friday.

Pay

Salary Range: $64,000.00 - $87,500.00 USD. Pay is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing, and long-term incentives for Executive-level roles.
