Chemical WW Tech 1 W. Springfield- 2nd Shift

Responsibilities

• Analyze and control electroless nickel plating solutions, with a focus on electroless nickel/boron plating systems.
• Perform chemical analysis as required by production.
• Maintain accurate records of all analysis and chemical adjustments.
• Operate the wastewater treatment system and equipment.
• Ensure wastewater effluent meets all discharge permit requirements.
• Prepare new chemical solutions.
• Add chemicals to existing solutions as needed.
• Handle chemical treatment, filtration, and transfer of solutions.
• Dispose of chemical solutions properly.
• Maintain accurate inventory records of chemicals and supplies from receiving to usage.
• Keep waste treatment and chemical storage areas clean.
• Maintain all chemical handling equipment.
• Follow department procedures and chemical handling safety rules.
• Ensure all containers are properly labeled.
• Support the production department.
• Properly label, store, handle, and dispose of hazardous waste.

Pay

$25.00 per hour, plus shift differential.

This position requires access to knowledge and technical data regulated by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Applicants must meet ITAR requirements prior to employment.
