About the role
Join our Downstream Chemicals Team to provide a vital service by managing, servicing, measuring, monitoring, and troubleshooting chemical treatment programs. You will be a vital team member supporting a large key customer account, responsible for ensuring they have the services and products required to operate safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Safely manage day-to-day operations of refinery process, finished fuels, and water treatment programs to ensure performance and value delivery for our customers
- Manage chemical inventories, chemical deliveries, field sampling, laboratory testing, injection system maintenance, and reporting
- Support the development and installation of new systems and designs to apply our chemical products and technologies
- Collaborate with team members to drive technical sales and innovative solutions that bring value to our customers
- Identify and coordinate numerous projects to support the application of our chemicals and programs in the field
- Maintain existing programs for customers to provide reporting on performance of applications with basic data and information

Requirements
- High School Diploma
- Minimum of 1 years’ experience in refining, petrochemical, or industrial setting
- Strong mechanical aptitude, mathematical, and troubleshooting skills
- Previous experience working in a laboratory setting and/or familiarity with analytical methods and interpretation
- Able to lift 50 pounds
- Able to drive a company vehicle as required to perform job duties (motor vehicle record checks will be performed to determine eligibility to drive a company vehicle)
- Residing in a commutable distance to Joliet, IL
Qualifications
- Must have a TWIC Card or be able to obtain one

- Technical knowledge of refinery processes and chemical treatments
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Schedule
Typical hours will be Monday – Friday, 7am - 4pm. Must be willing and able to support the business after hours as required.
