The Downstream Chemicals Team leverages our expertise to provide best-in-class technology and support to optimize process, finished fuels and water treatment applications within the refineries where we operate. Partner with the best As a Refinery Chemical Technician, you will provide a vital service by managing, servicing, measuring, monitoring, and troubleshooting chemical treatment programs. You will be a vital team member supporting a large key customer account, responsible for ensuring they have the services and products required to operate safely and efficiently. Fuel your passion As a Refinery Chemical Technician, you are responsible for: Safely managing day-to-day operations of refinery process, finished fuels, and water treatment programs to ensure performance and value delivery for our customersManaging chemical inventories, chemical deliveries, field sampling, laboratory testing, injection system maintenance and reportingSupporting the development and installation of new systems and designs to apply our chemical products and technologiesCollaborating with team members to drive technical sales and innovative solutions that bring value to our customersIdentifying and coordinating numerous projects to support the application of our chemicals and programs in the fieldMonitoring and maintaining existing programs for customers to provide reporting on performance of applications with basic data and informationCollaborating with team members to drive technical sales and innovative solutions that bring value to our customers Fuel your passion To be successful in this role, will require: Have a High School DiplomaHave minimum of 1 years’ experience in refining, petrochemical or industrial settingHave strong mechanical aptitude, mathematical, and troubleshooting skillsHave previous experience working in a laboratory setting and/or familiarity with analytical methods and interpretationMust be able to lift 50 poundsHave the ability to drive a company vehicle as required to perform job duties (motor vehicle record checks will be performed to determine eligibility to drive a company vehicle)Have a TWIC Card or ability to obtain a TWIC CardResiding in a commutable distance to Detroit, MI Work in a way that works for you We recognize that everyone is different and that the way in which people want to work and deliver at their best is different for everyone too.
