About the role
The Chemical Packaging Utility Technician role is within the Operations Organization. This position is responsible for pulling bulk chemicals and containers for the Chemical Packaging department, adhering to strict policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Pull bulk chemicals and containers for the Chemical Packaging department
- Follow strict policies and procedures
- Handle paperwork and chemical care with utmost accuracy, care, and priority
- Respond promptly to service needs
- Support organizational policies and goals
- Enhance internal and external customer satisfaction through dependable and quality-driven service
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- One to three years of related experience in a production environment
- Ability to obtain forklift certification (on-the-job training provided)
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
- Ability to present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and the general public
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of applications
- Strong ethics, dependability, punctuality, and accountability
- Uses and wears all required personal protective equipment
- Speaks clearly and persuasively; listens attentively; contributes positively to team efforts; gives and receives feedback constructively; fosters inclusive and open dialogue
- Maintains respect for all interactions
Qualifications
- Physical activity requiring overhead reaching, sifting, lifting, squatting, stooping, finger dexterity, grasping, feeling, repetitive motions, talking, and hearing
- Visual requirement for close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus
- 10-15% or more time spent looking directly at a computer
- Ability to stand, walk (or otherwise be mobile)
- Ability to deal with stressful situations as they arise
