Chemical Operator-Temporary

Key Activities

• Adhere to all SHE policies and procedures and INEOS Pigments' 20 principles of process and Behavioral Safety and Life Saving Rules
• Makes appropriate adjustments to meet safety, quality, and environmental requirements
• Tends equipment or semi-automatic systems that processes chemical substances into industrial intermediate and finished products
• Reports and/or resolves conditions affecting safety, efficiency or product quality with peers, technical or supervisory personnel
• Troubleshoots equipment problems and process upsets
• Maintains monitoring of in-process quality results for slurry production and packaging quality for dry production
• Maintains monitoring of maintenance activity in the area, including signing of work permits
• Performs Job Tasks as outlined in SOPs
• Performs quality-related jobs as indicated in the Quality Procedures Documents of the Unit
• Completes all documentation accurately

Qualifications

• Completed High School education
• Experience with shift work
• The highest regard for safety processes and Personal Protective Equipment requirements
• Demonstrated ability to work in an adaptable team environment
• Ability to problem solve and make decisions
• Ability to write legibly and read decimals
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Good computing skills in basic Office software plus an ability to comprehend other data presented electronically
• Previous work in a chemical plant or similar industrial environment is a plus
• A Chemical Operators Certificate or a recognized trade qualification is a plus

Schedule/Hours

• This is a 12-hour day and night rotating shift position
