Key Activities
- Adhere to all SHE policies and procedures and INEOS Pigments' 20 principles of process and Behavioral Safety and Life Saving Rules
- Makes appropriate adjustments to meet safety, quality, and environmental requirements
- Tends equipment or semi-automatic systems that processes chemical substances into industrial intermediate and finished products
- Reports and/or resolves conditions affecting safety, efficiency or product quality with peers, technical or supervisory personnel
- Troubleshoots equipment problems and process upsets
- Maintains monitoring of in-process quality results for slurry production and packaging quality for dry production
- Maintains monitoring of maintenance activity in the area, including signing of work permits
- Performs Job Tasks as outlined in SOPs
- Performs quality-related jobs as indicated in the Quality Procedures Documents of the Unit
- Completes all documentation accurately
Qualifications
- Completed High School education
- Experience with shift work
- The highest regard for safety processes and Personal Protective Equipment requirements
- Demonstrated ability to work in an adaptable team environment
- Ability to problem solve and make decisions
- Ability to write legibly and read decimals
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Good computing skills in basic Office software plus an ability to comprehend other data presented electronically
- Previous work in a chemical plant or similar industrial environment is a plus
- A Chemical Operators Certificate or a recognized trade qualification is a plus
Schedule/Hours
- This is a 12-hour day and night rotating shift position
