Niagara Falls, NY location produces organic salts, including propionates and acetates, serving Pharmaceutical, Food, Feed and Technical Industries.

Key responsibilities
- Completing assignments in a safe and orderly manner
- Completing all assignments with minimal amount of supervision or instructions
- Handling and use of products and materials and operation of process equipment to manufacture the company’s products to specification
- Receiving, storage and loading of product and materials, housekeeping and various miscellaneous types of work necessary to support operations of the plant
- Loading finished products
- Monitoring unit operations an perform standard tests to verify product compliance with specifications
- Setting up, testing or performing general service or repair to process equipment in support of plant operations
- Analyzing problems and trouble shoot to effect resolution
- Maintaining a working knowledge of materials and processes in the workplace
- Communicating as needed with other operators and the unit manger
- Using materials and equipment to avoid damage, lost production and waste
- Able to lift 50lbs on a regular basis
- Performing other duties as assigned
Qualifications and skills
- Must have Chemical Operator experience
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent
- Required Knowledge: Basic English and Math skills
- Experience: Prior chemical plant experience preferred
And physical requirements
- Ability to climb mezzanine stairs to access process equipment and computer interface points, lift loads up to 50#, work in confined spaces
- Frequent reaching with hands and arms, occasional stooping, kneeling, or crouching
- Specific vision abilities required: close vision, color vision, ability to adjust focus
- The position frequently requires the ability to hear and to communicate verbally
Pay and benefits
- Pay Rate/Hourly Rate/shift differential: $37.48
- Shift/Working Hours: Rotate every week – the shifts are 5 am – 1 pm, 1 pm – 9 pm, 9 pm – 5 am
- Shift/Working Hours: 8-hour rotating shift w/ $1/hr. Shift Dif for 90 days, then to 12 hr rotating shift w/.25 Shift Dif
