Chemical Operator Job

Daily Operations

• Perform raw material staging for batches.
• Operate production vessels, including batch reactors and blenders.
• Use automated and manual process controls to adjust process parameters.
• Packaged finished products in drums and IBCs.
• Complete batch sheets, logbooks and other records neatly and accurately.
• Sample batches and perform in-process Quality Control testing.
• Perform other duties or training as required or requested.

Additional Duties and Functions

• Demonstrate mechanical aptitude by performing minor maintenance.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and diagnose equipment and process issues.
• Complete required safety training.

• Good communications skills in English, both written and verbal.
• Good mechanical aptitude.
• Good troubleshooting abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams and support other departments.
• Exhibit good judgement, dependability, initiative and a positive attitude.

Minimum Qualifications

• A minimum High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of chemical environment experience.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, overtime, or other hours as required.
• Experience in forklift operation.
• Ability to perform physical essentials (climb stairs and/or ladders, lift up to 50 pounds, wear FRC uniforms, wear full face respirator occasionally).
