About the role

Kodak is seeking Chemical Operators to join their Specialty Chemical Inks and Dispersions Division (SCID).

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain a product flow of various chemicals through the chemical processing equipment.
  • Maximize output, product quality, and minimize waste.
  • Participate in SCID operator training program focusing on HSE, process equipment function/setup, operating procedures, and process operating techniques.
  • Adhere strictly to division operating procedures regarding HSE, including chemical verifications, additions of chemicals, lifting procedures/policies, and required PPE with no exceptions.
  • Work in a team-oriented environment with good interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Maintain a clean work area, practice good 5S principles, and operate safely at all times.
  • Handle various chemicals, some of which may be hazardous, requiring appropriate PPE.
  • Perform tasks involving walking, standing, and frequent lifting, carrying, pulling, pushing, and occasional awkward positions.
  • Show good analytical and troubleshooting skills, knowing when to stop, call for help, and wait for assistance when issues or problems arise.

Requirements

  • Manufacturing experience, preferably with a technical background in mechanical, electrical, or chemical fields.
  • Good interpretation of procedures and adherence to HSE and process procedures.
  • A desire to continuously improve oneself and processes using KOS tools and understanding lean manufacturing concepts.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to pass a drug test.

Skills

  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentage calculations).
  • Computer proficiency, including the ability to utilize various databases and programs.
  • Interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Physical stamina and strength to perform tasks involving walking, standing, and frequent lifting.
