About the role
The Chemical Processing Operator I is responsible for handling, packaging, and disposing of hazardous and non-hazardous materials in compliance with safety and environmental regulations. They collaborate with TSDF Technicians in various environments, classifying, segregating, labeling, and consolidating chemicals based on compatibility and hazard class.
Responsibilities
- Preparing shipping documents
- Coordinating transportation
- Maintaining accurate inventories and waste tracking
- Mentoring new hires on standard procedures
- Safely using all PPE, including respirators
Qualifications
- 0-2 years of relevant experience
- Passing a Pre-Employment Physical and Drug Screen
- Completing HAZWOPER training
