Chemical Operator
Responsibilities
- Weighing and/or metering raw materials into mixing tank.
- Mixing raw materials into mixing tank to make finished product.
- Transferring finished product from mixing tank into proper shipping container.
- Regular inspections of the ball mills.
- Reviewing of the batch tickets to determine the type and quantity of graphite to be ground.
- Following standard operating procedures for loading and unloading the ball mills.
- Verification of raw material consumption via SAP.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Two plus years of previous manufacturing/plant operations experience required.
- Demonstrated ability to follow simple batch ticket instructions.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Work with limited supervision and perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Batch making and/or compounding experience a plus.
- SAP experience a plus.
Pay
Competitive pay commensurate with experience in a similar position. The range for this position is $25.00 - $31.00 per hour, but actual compensation will vary depending upon a new hire's experience and qualifications as well as internal equity.
Schedule
Position availability is for 2nd shift (3:00 PM to 11:30 PM). Flexibility may be required to support production needs, including occasional overtime.
