Airswift is seeking a Chemical Operator for a one-year W2 contract position in Birmingham, Alabama, with the possibility of extension.
Schedule
- 5/40 work schedule (5 days on, 40 hours per week)
- Rotating day/night shifts: 3 months days, 3 months nights, repeating
- Weekend and holiday work expected

Responsibilities
- Operate basic equipment and carry out routine tasks by following strict, detailed instructions.
- Perform operational tasks within established processes and parameters.
- Assist in installing equipment and appliances by preparing and following detailed instructions.
- Help maintain and repair equipment and appliances by preparing and following detailed instructions.
- Support the quality function by adhering to strict quality standards.
- Follow basic mandatory work instructions, including the use of personal protective equipment, to ensure environmental and personal safety.
Requirements
- High school level education.
- Experienced practitioner able to work unsupervised.
- Clear and effective elementary verbal communication skills to express ideas, request actions, and formulate plans or policies under supervision.
- Ability to develop, monitor, interpret, and understand policies and procedures with guidance to align with organizational strategies and objectives.
- Plan, organize, prioritize, and oversee activities to meet business objectives with guidance but not constant supervision.
- Apply elementary concepts under supervision to manage and apply safe systems of work.
- Develop plans or perform actions based on recommendations and requirements with guidance.
- Review and create relevant, clear, and effective reports under supervision at an elementary level.
- Motivate employees to learn, grow, and develop under supervision to help the organization reach its goals.
- Identify, assess, prioritize, and manage risks in a production process at an elementary level, under supervision.
- Achieve full compliance with applicable rules and regulations in management and/or operations under supervision.
