Chemical Manufacturing Technician

Position Summary

Major Roles and Responsibilities

• Perform assigned daily work orders or other assigned work in an efficient manner for all products.
• Fully record details of all production activities in batch records, inventory cards and all other production documents, consistent with standard operating procedures.
• Possess competent knowledge and ability in manufacturing areas including chemical processing, using pumps, filters, packaging and related manufacturing equipment.
• Adhere to Dextran Product's workplace health and safety policy, practices for safely handling chemicals and wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Ensure that the work area is properly maintained and cleaned after production.
• Be able to ensure that production equipment is properly cleaned and maintained.
• Ensure that production problems are reported to management. Maintain effective and open communication with other manufacturing technicians, Dextran Product's management and all other employees.
• Achieve a high commitment to attendance, being on-time and following standard operating procedures.

Qualifications

• This position requires a minimum of a high school degree or equivalent with the ability to read, write and perform basic mathematical operations at a high school level.
• This position requires a minimum of one to two or more years of manufacturing experience with basic process knowledge of Dextran products, manufacturing processes and equipment.
