Chemical Loader
About the role
The Mundy Companies, a leader in the industrial maintenance, services, and construction fields, is seeking a Chemical Loader for a long-term position. Successful candidates will have a year of continuous and current experience as a Chemical Loader in a petrochemical, industrial, or manufacturing environment.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Completes the Mundy Chemical Loader Training Program
- As part of this Training Program, the Loader is trained in General and Security Awareness sections of DOT regulations, and in various function-specific sections as needed for the job
- Inspects the vehicle for cleanliness
- Inspects the vehicle for safety and proper operating conditions
- Connects and disconnects product hoses and loading arms
- Connects and disconnects grounding/bonding cables
- Conducts daily inspections of basic safety equipment, such as fire extinguishers, safety showers, and eye wash stations
- Performs some lining up of valves and pumps for product transfer
- Maintains product transfer for safety, quality, and productivity
- Takes samples from vehicles/containers in accordance with established procedures
- Performs some lab tests using automated analysis machines
- Communicates with production and other plant personnel, and with drivers and other carrier personnel
- Loader is responsible for proper placarding, marking, and labeling
- Participates in Mundy Safety Awareness Program
- Participates in safety audits as requested
- Attends various required training classes, several with refresher requirements (annual or other)
- Attends daily/weekly Toolbox Safety Meetings and monthly Site-wide Safety Meetings
- Uses extensive written procedures in completing all product transfer work
- Uses extensive written check sheets in connection with product transfer work
Qualifications
The successful candidate will maintain a high degree of personal safety and environmental awareness at all times. This position requires a strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement with the ability to follow written and verbal instructions in a safe, efficient manner. The ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing is also required. All qualified applicants must be craft certified or possess the ability to pass a craft test, as well as the ability to pass a criminal background check, pre-employment drug screen and other qualifications as required.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $19.42+ (Dependent on Experience).
