Chemical Engineer Fall Co-op

About the role

Chemours is seeking a Chemical Engineer Co-op to join our Manufacturing Technology team. This position will report directly to the Manufacturing Technology Manager.

Responsibilities

• Working with experienced engineering professionals on improvement and expansion projects
• Assisting operations and maintenance with troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem solving
• Participating in process safety management activities and reviews
• Contributing to team meetings and conference calls
• Implementing process improvements through a management of change process
• Collaborate with external vendors to specify new and replacement equipment

Requirements

• Enrollment at an accredited college or university as a Sophomore or above at time of assignment
• Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering or similar fields
• Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point

Preferred

• Participation in relevant activities, organizations, and projects beyond the classroom
• 3.0 GPA or above
• Strong initiative and a self-starter
