Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistant

About the role

Essential Functions:

  • Assess the strengths and needs of those seeking support for substance use disorder.
  • Perform level of care assessments for treatment placement.

  • Coordinate resources and services for individuals served.
  • Carry out group and individual SUD psychotherapy.
  • Perform routine and timely outreach to referrals and those who experience a lapse in treatment.
  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation of client contact and related activities.
  • Attend team meetings, collaborate with community partners, participate in related programs to support individuals served.
  • Maintain a collaborative relationship with behavioral medicine and other teams within ISBH.
  • Meet billing productivity requirements established by Integrated Services for Behavioral Health.
  • Build relationships and network with partners to build substance use program, expand referral base and strengthen community relationships.

Requirements

  • License to perform SUD psychotherapy issued by the Ohio Chemical Dependency Professionals Board.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or 3 years related experience in the field.
  • Demonstrated high degree of cultural awareness.
  • Experience with multi-need individuals and families.
  • Broad knowledge of community service systems.
  • Willing to participate in and lead cross-systems team building activities.
  • Able to effectively communicate through verbal/written expression.
  • Must be able to operate in an Internet-based, automated office environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Requirements:

Pay

$19.25-$22.50 annually, based on experience
