Chemical Dependency Program Assistant
About the role
CARE Fergus Falls is seeking a Chemical Dependency Program Assistant to join a dedicated team supporting clients on their journey to recovery. This role involves assisting with treatment interventions, coordinating documentation, ensuring client safety and supervision, and maintaining the treatment program's operations.
Responsibilities
- Provide services to Community Addiction Recovery Enterprise clients in accordance with procedures and standards.
- Develop and implement a range of programming to support clients' growth and recovery.
- Lead activities to enhance daily living skills and address obstacles to treatment progress.
- Document and verbally report to ensure accurate records and continuity of care.
- Support the admission process to ensure prompt, courteous, and efficient client admission.
Requirements
- Knowledge of treatment processes to read and assist with the implementation of individual treatment plans, explain program objectives, and facilitate group discussions.
- Knowledge of standard psychological tests to administer and score them for interpretation by professional staff.
- Knowledge of Alcoholics Anonymous principles to orient new clients to the program.
- Ability to lead recreational activities for clients.
- Ability to read and write English to record client history and document physical and behavioral information on medical charts.
- Possession and maintenance of a valid driver's license.
Qualifications
- Minimum qualifications include knowledge of treatment processes, standard psychological tests, and Alcoholics Anonymous principles, as well as the ability to lead recreational activities and read/write English.
- Preferred qualifications include experience in behavioral health settings and medication administration.
Skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

The State of Minnesota offers competitive compensation, including a salary range of $24.54 - $31.43 per hour, and benefits such as health insurance, dental, vision, and prescription drug coverage, fertility care, diabetes care, dental and orthodontic care, parental leave, and a pension plan.
Pay
$24.54 - $31.43 per hour
Schedule
Night Shift: 10:15pm-6:15am, 9:00pm-7:00am
Rotating Shift: 6:00am-2:30pm, 2:00pm-10:30pm
