• Prioritizes safety, PPE, and compliance in an explosion-proof work environment.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities

• Receives chemicals from suppliers while verifying and maintaining accurate records.
• Ships chemicals outbound if needed including hazardous waste pickups.
• Maintains loading dock, chemical warehouse area and hazardous waste collection areas.
• Performs chemical, pigment & supplier inventory as required while maintaining inventory system accuracy.
• Transfers materials for us in the Compounding/Mixing work area utilizing FIFO methodization.
• Uses computer software to enter and maintain data.
• Able to work independently and within a team.
• Able to safely operate fork trucks as a licensed driver and utilize other material handling equipment.
• Other assigned duties as required.

Minimum Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• 2+ years of relevant experience
• Basic math skills and ability to use formulas to convert weights and measurements.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend English with legible handwriting.
• On-time and consistently reliable attendance.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee will regularly stand, walk and talk/hear.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee will frequently be required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• The employee will be required to wear safety PPE as required.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision.
• The employee will frequently work in a manufacturing and chemical mixing/handling environment near moving mechanical parts, and around hazardous chemicals.
