Join the opening leadership team at Belmont Village Rancho Santa Fe, a newly constructed luxury senior living community. Nestled within the gated community of Lakes of Rancho Santa Fe, our premier Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care community offers a unique opportunity to help establish a best-in-class culinary program and dining culture from day one.

Responsibilities

• Oversight of food service compliance while ensuring exceptional quality and productivity by effectively scheduling and coordinating kitchen staff operations.
• Ensuring recipe consistency and adherence to company standards while showcasing culinary creativity for special event menu planning.
• Driving resident and guest satisfaction through clear communication, superior meal preparation, and outstanding dining service.
• Managing food ordering and equipment inventory to minimize waste, control costs, and maintain budget compliance.
• Building a positive workplace culture by training employees in safety protocols, food handling, and kitchen cleanliness, while applying company policies fairly and consistently.
• Collaborating with community leadership, regional teams, and corporate support to align with organizational goals.
• Leading staffing efforts, including interviewing, hiring, performance management, coaching, employee training, and task delegation.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• ServSafe certificate
• Formal culinary training through degree or certificate program
• Ability to communicate clearly in verbal and written English
• Ability to work flexible schedule as the needs of the dining program require
• Demonstrated successful use of technology in the workplace including MS Office and POS
• Minimum two years comparable kitchen managerial experience with five years experience in volume cooking
• Consistent and reliable attendance is essential for all Belmont Village employees to ensure the successful operation of the community
