About the role
Our experienced team of Chef Instructors fulfill our mission as a teaching kitchen through in-depth hands-on instruction in an encouraging environment.
Responsibilities
- Deliver consistent and thorough culinary instruction in a wide range of techniques.
- Focus on a high level of instruction relating to the ingredients, regional styles, and traditions relative to the given cuisine.
- Provide clear and professional direction to the Cooking Class Assistant prior to and during the class.
- Achieve the outlined learning objectives conducted within the time allotted while ensuring appropriate levels of safety.
- Create a welcoming and encouraging environment, adjusting instruction to meet the skill level and needs of the students.
- Adhere to the standards and regulations of a professional commercial kitchen.
Requirements
- Culinary degree or commensurate culinary education experience is mandatory.
- ServSafe Manager Certified.
- Proficient in a wide range of culinary techniques and ethnic cuisines.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Previous teaching experience is preferred.
