CHEF (FULL TIME AND PART TIME)
About the role
CulinArt Sector is seeking immediate full-time and part-time CHEF positions at The Village Club of Lake Success. Applications can be submitted online. Schedules vary and will be discussed during the interview process. Previous line and prep experience is required.
Responsibilities
- Supervise, coordinate, and participate in activities of cooks and other associates engaged in preparing, cooking, and serving food.
- Ensure all food handling, sanitation, and customer service standards are met.
- Supervise hourly kitchen associates, including interviewing, scheduling, payroll, training, counseling, reviewing performance, and recommending disciplinary actions.
- Efficiently prepare high-quality food items according to standardized recipes to meet production, delivery, and service schedules.
- Serve meals or prepare for delivery, ensuring proper presentation, food quality, portion control, and maintenance of proper serving temperatures.
- Track food use, waste, and consumption to requisition or purchase products.
- Receive and inspect product and supplies for quality and quantity to ensure appropriate inventory.
- Maintain sanitation of equipment, supplies, and utensils.
- Clean workstation thoroughly before leaving area.
- Keep display equipment clean and free of debris during meal service to ensure compliance with sanitation, safety, production, and merchandising requirements.
- Select and develop recipes and menus.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
