About the role
The successful candidate will provide executive chef leadership to the kitchen team, ensuring high standards of food quality, presentation, and service are maintained.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the kitchen operations to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
- Develop and implement menus that meet nutritional guidelines and cater to diverse dietary requirements.
- Manage the kitchen budget and procurement process to optimize cost efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards.
- Collaborate with other departments to enhance patient and staff satisfaction through culinary excellence.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of relevant experience as an executive chef.
- Proven track record in managing a large kitchen team.
- Experience in developing and implementing innovative menu concepts.
- Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
Qualifications
- Higher Diploma in Culinary Arts or equivalent.
- Registered Chef (Level 6) or equivalent.
Skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Knowledge of food costing and budgeting.
