About the role
The Chef de Partie and Junior Sous Chef positions at JOEY Restaurants are integral to the success of our multi-million-dollar restaurants. We are dedicated to developing our team members through our culture of People Development.
Responsibilities
- Support team in preparing ingredients and food products to meet prep lists, par levels, and recipe standards.
- Utilize various preparation and cooking methods to prepare menu items according to JOEY recipes.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of prep and cooking areas.
- Train team on safe usage of kitchen equipment and cleaning compounds.
- Manage recruitment and retention of team members.
- Coach and develop team members’ technical knowledge and execution of JOEY standards.
- Communicate daily goals and feedback to team members.
- Manage in-store budgets, food costs, and labor.
- Ensure guests receive Iconic Hospitality.
Qualifications
- 3+ years culinary experience or equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Valid local and/or state Food Handler permit.
- Passion for hospitality and ability to create world-class experiences.
- Comfortable in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as walking, standing, bending, reaching, stretching, and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Pay
Wage Scale: - Chef de Partie: $17 - $19 per hour - Junior Sous Chef: $19 - $23 per hour
